The Belgian Broadband Platform is a non for profit organisation that promotes broadband networking in Belgium. Its interest field encompass all aspects of broadband networking services and technologies, both in the wired and wireless worlds.

The BELGIAN BROADBAND PLATFORM groups a unique blend of industrial companies:

AGORIA, ALCATEL-LUCENT, BELGACOM, C.I.R.B., CNRood, HEYNEN, IBBT, NMBS B-TELECOM,  NOKIA SIEMENS NETWOTKS, PROTELECOM, TELENET, UA, UCL, UGent, UHasselt, VUB


The main objectives of the Belgian Broadband Platform are:

  • promote and stimulate broadband networking related activities in the Belgian and international contexts
  • support the introduction of related applications and services, and inform the users of those new potentialities.  

Seminars and a yearly symposium support the realisation of those goals.

The Belgian Broadband Platform is an open platform; every interested company or institution can become a member.
